What Happens Next
Here is what to expect over the next few days:
- Review (Day 1): A Montana registration specialist reviews your submission and confirms your documents are complete. If anything is missing, we will contact you by email or phone before proceeding.
- Filing (Days 1–2): We prepare all required forms and file directly with the appropriate Montana county clerk on your behalf. No action needed from you.
- Processing (Days 2–4): The county clerk processes the application. Most standard vehicles are completed within 2–4 business days. Military vehicles and unusual titles may take slightly longer.
- Plates Shipped: Once approved, your Montana license plates and registration documents are shipped to your address via insured carrier. You will receive a tracking number by email.
